Roleplay or Rp for short, In its most basic form, roleplaying is just that: playing a role other than yourself. The most prevalent and well known form of this would be acting, where someone becomes a character either for the stage or screen. They study the character, his/her personality, accent, thoughts and then throughout the film/play, the actor essentially 'is' that character. Another place we can see roleplaying, and perhaps in its most 'innocent' form, is in childsplay - a perfect example would be when kids play 'house.' The major difference, of course, is that online roleplaying is performed through writing, rather than playing the actions yourself. Writing the varying aspects of your character with other players who also are writing their character, you work together to create a story. Each character's actions and individual histories come together and through each post your story develops. It also is the job of each player to not only write their character, but also the environment in which the characters are in. In this sense, then, online roleplaying could very well be more aptly defined as 'collaborative creative writing.' You are working in collaboration with other writers to write creatively - each person taking the point of view of one character in your story. That is what Play-By-Post Online Roleplaying truly is.

There is nothing wrong with being a master and having a slave but cybering should be ranked as cyber not roleplay. DO NOT MIX THESE TWO THINGS. Most sex slaves ONLY cyber they don’t roleplay. Even though you are typing out what you would do to your partner its not considered roleplay and shouldn’t be counted as such. It should be in a separate category so when you come across someone like this (which you will) the best thing to do is tell them they are a Cyberer/Cyberist not a Roleplayer. Example:
If your character is properly developed and you happen to fall for another character but in the climax of the storyline something happens and your character gets separated from the character you happened to fall for only to near the falling point meet back up with that character but have different views about lets say a war or something like that you to end up fighting only to make love and still continue to roleplay afterwards this isn’t considered cyber this is considered roleplay. Your character isn’t based around sexual activities your character isn’t just there to get laid there was a story behind it there was love or like for one another from the get go it wasn’t just sex, or a random rape that you role-played out (which by the way ladies is stupid if you allow such things to happen because you have the choice to cut off the rp this will be explained later on). Do not look to far into this or try and make excuses. Cyber is Cyber and roleplay is roleplay.
